The digital era is an undeniable force that has changed the business landscape globally. To stay competitive in this digital era, entrepreneurs and businesses must embrace digital platforms. Recognizing the need for this change, Bank Indonesia (BI) Malang has held the Digifest Malang 2023 event, which was held at the KPPN building on Saturday and Sunday, July 29-30.
DIGIFEST Bank Indonesia Malang is an annual event that serves as a forum for financial technology companies and innovators to share ideas, the latest products, and insights into the future of the financial sector. This year, Let’s Play Indonesia joins to contribute to increasing awareness of financial literacy through board game media.
Digifest BI Malang is packaged in the form of an exhibition of superior and digital MSMEs and capacity building is expected in the future from Let’s Play Indonesia itself to expand marketing access, develop an inclusive and green economy, and expand the digital economy and finance. In addition to holding an exhibition for MSMEs and digital-based startups, Digifest Malang 2023 also held business clinics and experience-sharing sessions inviting the Director of Indiekraf.com, namely Ziaelfikar Alibaba, and the Founder of Piknik Hub, Dias Satria.
According to Samsul Hadi, Head of the Bank Indonesia Malang Representative Office, the presence of this event is very significant because not all MSMEs have a deep understanding of digital technology. Bank Indonesia feels the need to play an active role in this context, realizing the crucial role of MSMEs as pillars of the economy, especially in Malang.
“In supporting Indonesia’s progress, we hope that the welfare of the Indonesian people will continue to increase,” said Destry. This collaborative effort not only accelerates Indonesia’s development but also contributes to the welfare of its citizens.
During this exhibition, 18 MSMEs showcased their superior products at the Malang KPPN building, while 60 others participated in character-building activities. Support from the Malang city government, including the establishment of the Malang Creative Center (MCC) as a center for creative youth to develop the city’s creative economy, has also encouraged the growth of the creative industry in Malang.
