Let’s Play Indonesia, a Startup from Malang that Goes International

In the digital era, startups in the country continue to grow rapidly, including in Malang City, which is known as a creative economy area. One of the startups that stands out is Let’s Play Indonesia, a business education platform that uses games, both board games and online, as a learning medium. Founded in 2019, Let’s Play Indonesia was initially a training center that invited MSMEs, companies, and startups to learn business through simulations or games.

Arief Bawono Surya, Head of Creative and Product Development Let’s Play Indonesia, explained that they provide games that are on the topics of skill development needed, such as negotiation, product marketing, and financial management. “We have around 111 game variants in our catalog, covering various aspects of business and education,” said Arief.

Let’s Play Indonesia has provided materials for students, MSMEs, and large companies, including BUMN. They have also collaborated with a Singaporean company for game-based learning and with the American Consulate General for six months to teach lecturers and teachers the use of games in classroom learning. Most recently, Let’s Play Indonesia was invited by Bank Indonesia to participate in the Digital Finance Festival at the G20, demonstrating the creative industry’s support for the use of games as an educational tool.

Arief hopes that Let’s Play Indonesia can continue to help develop the gaming industry in Indonesia by collaborating with local game designers to ensure that the industry continues to grow and develop.
