1 CARD PnP DESIGN CONTEST 2023 is a graphic design competition organized by the Board Game Geek Community (including RPG Geek and Video Game Geek). This contest aims to encourage the creation of innovative 1 card games with various themes and mechanisms.
Istivano is a Game Designer who continues to develop his skills in the world of game design. He is always eager to share his experiences and knowledge with the community. Struggling to raise his main card, Lazy Susan, which he said could be used as a uniqueness and attraction of the design he made.

FRUITS OF HARD WORK
His hard work was not in vain and produced very proud results, namely successfully achieving extraordinary achievements in this contest. His work managed to win 3rd place as “Best New Designer” This is real proof of his dedication and talent in designing interesting card games. However, his achievements did not stop there. In addition to winning third place as Best New Designer, he also managed to rank 11th in the “Best Overall Game” category. This is an extraordinary achievement, considering his strong competitors in this contest. Istivano’s achievements can be used as inspiration for all generations of designers to continue to hone and play a role in their passion. This shows that with hard work, creativity, and determination, anyone can achieve extraordinary achievements in the world of games. Apart from personal achievements, this victory has also brought pride to the Let’s Play community and has helped promote quality and creativity in the world of games. Hopefully, this achievement will encourage many other members to pursue their dreams in the world of game design.
The Malang Game Dev Community has just held a Playtest session featuring various games from game studios in Malang City, held at Piknik Hub Malang. The Playtest event was held lively at Piknik Hub Malang, introducing games designed by studios such as Satriver Games Studio, Clay Game Studio, Indekos, Lets Studio Indonesia, Shireishi Production, and Algorocks.

Participants can try various types of games, from the adorable snake and ladder modification game to games that invite us to grow trees and hunt for exciting souvenirs. After the Playtest session ended, the players provided valuable input and feedback to the game developers. STIKI Malang (Indonesian College of Informatics and Computer) presents a unique and innovative learning experience with Letsplay Indonesia. This initiative combines a love of games with the development of academic skills. This first week, began with an introduction to Letsplay Indonesia represented by Kak Arif Bawono Surya. For the first session, discuss the role of games as a learning tool. Games are no longer just entertainment, but also an effective tool for developing cognitive skills, strategy, and creativity. By involving students in interactive discussions, they will explore the various positive aspects of games as a learning medium. In this session, students are also divided into two groups to play Super Food and Bandido.
The World of Playing Games
The Letsplay Indonesia team involved students to design and create simple game concepts to be modified. In each team, they will face the challenge of changing the Objective Elements, Gameplay, Narrative, or Components of the two games. This is an important step to feel the difficulty and joy of creating something from scratch.
At the end of the learning, students are assigned to play ten games, both digital and non-digital, to find the 4 most important Game Elements. This assignment is not only intended to have fun but also to develop a deeper understanding of various genres and styles of play.
